Love Poem: Do Fools Wear Crowns?

Do Fools Wear Crowns?

Do Fools Wear Crowns?

Is this love’s niche’? Do we both care?
Me finding love with no bound, your heart elsewhere.

Do fools wear crowns?

Is love amiss? Dreams misconstrued?
One in whom sadness is found; one far removed.

Do fools wear crowns?
Life holds fate’s crowns.

Living on top— searching for more.
Happily glowing, with love never wanted before.

Seizing the limelight again watched by strangers who stare.
Poised, my face shines. My heart is bare.

Is your love sparse? My yearnings sear.
I hoped your love brought what I sought; silly, I fear.

Do fools wear crowns?
Think! Life holds fate’s crowns.
Love’s smothered, I fear.

Music plays 8

Is this our niche’? Hope lost, my dear
Love without finding knows fate is too austere.

Do fools wear crowns?
I’m wearing the crown.
Hope hiding in tears.
