Love Poem: Divorce

Divorce

She said, "I Do," but that didn't last long,
soon headed back to her parents home.

Some wedding presents, still wrapped up,
she told her mom, this is just my luck.

Hubby was away on business out of state,
she new this was his job, on their first date.

Not really ready for the married bliss,
she told him politely, what he could kiss.

Her mom, concerned, was not much help,
she told her daughter, "you only think of yourself."

Decisions made, and attorney paid too,
divorce;... something broken, something borrowed,
something blue.
