Love Poem: Distant Shores

Distant Shores

You SURFACE me like pebbles along the distant shores,
encompass me like a tide in the sand in mid-June.
White doves fly over the mount and sing your tune,
for my adoration runs as deep as the ocean floors.
When I am drowning in life’s woe your love RESTORES.

I seek not rocky waters just your emerald reverie,
the SANGRIA sun setting in the west descends for you.
For you turned my overcast and murky skies blue
and saved me from a wretched life of dismal obscurity.
Now we honor a life full of DEVOTION and fidelity.

The DEPTHS of the banks linger on into love’s cascade,
Coastlines faraway know of our sincere affection.
It is clear that we share a rare bonded connection,
and in the memoir of life true LOYALTY is displayed.
Our love like the wide shores like Thomas Kincaid.

I never knew thirst until you QUENCHED me with desire,
my starvation is satisfied with one touch of your hand.
Now I never wish to return to the dry deserted land,
for our passion will never be burned out by pain’s fire.
My love, you bestow all the HEARTFELT love I require.

You surface me like pebbles along the DISTANT SHORES-
for my love for you runs as deep as the ocean floors.
