Love Poem: Disipline

Disipline

Discipline looks like cruelty sometimes,
We cringe at the thought of instructing our eyes,
What looks like control is merely correction,
To keep our hearts safely moving in loves direction,
It is not so much in the act as it is in the intent,
But we tend to automatically put up a defense,
Sometimes it takes us a long time to see,
Because our eyes can't see past it emotionally,
But when we come to grips past the defense,
Our hearts are free to love again,
So don't be defensive for too long,
Because when your offended, you give it the power to go on,
Take it for what it is, thank God that it came,
That he loved you enough to send someone to show you the right way,
And if you thought the persons intent was not for good,
That doesn't make a difference, because you were still shown the truth,
Those intentions are between God and that person,
Where their heart resides in their own personal relationship,
Learn to look past and see through,
Practice separating between the two.
