Love Poem: Dinner For Two

Dinner For Two

My vision
brought you to me.

You covered my face
with your love.

Gentle kisses
took away my pain.

From our first embrace,
no more tears.

You sheltered me from
my own rain.

You opened new doors
and held my hand.

Dinner for two
and candlelit eyes aglow.

Luminous skin
and a scent of Mediterranean.

Lips that tasted like
chocolate dipped strawberry wine.

Dried flowers
hanging upside down.

Mementos kept
in our secret place

tucked away
in a poem.
