Difference Between the Two
Thoughts of you keep me awake at night
They find me when I'm left all alone
I've done all I can to fight
And yet my memories of you still aren't gone
It seems that no matter what I do
These things continue to haunt me
And the one person I cannot forget is you
In all things that used to be
The same lines running thru my mind
Poem after poem I write
Still the answers I cannot find
Nothing I do seems to win the fight
Time and time again I try
Fighting to make my wrongs right
So many times I've said one last goodbye
Even in your absence my thoughts will not cease
The ones I can hide from everyone but me
Secrets kept keep me from my own peace
But who I could tell no one can see what I see
No one can feel the things I do
In this time and in this space
With all I've put my heart thru
You will always hold this special place
Very deep down in my heart
That is one thing I cannot deny
Throughout the years you played a huge part
About that I cannot lie
I guess that's why after all this time
And even after everything you put me thru
I still let your memory cross my mind
But we both know about that there's nothing I can do
Been fighting these truths for far too long
I'm sure now what we used to be means nothing to you
And with me is not where you belong
All of this I have come to accept
I guess I should've known this all along
But my love for you a hold on it I kept
The same way something about you
Kept a hold on me
But for so long I already knew
That me and you…we just weren't meant to be
Being friends only kept me from moving on
But I was to blind to see
And the longer you are gone
So many things have become clear
And I found a way to move on with my life
Without you always so close and so near
I have become someone's wife
I learned to love again
I have found peace with my past
Letting go of all the anger and pain
I found something that will last
A love more true
Then I'd ever known
One more true than what I thought I had with you!!!
