Love Poem: Destruction

Destruction

I feel empty, I feel sad.
I'm so hurt, and so very mad.

I'm always alone
With misery and despair,
So tired of the man
That's hardly ever there.
He says he loves me
And cares so much,
But when I reach for him,
He's seems so out of touch.
He's so blind to see
Or even have a clue,
Looking right past me,
Demolishing my spirit in two.

He says such terrible words,
And I don't know why.
He's so damn mean,
Always making me cry.
Each day becoming more cruel
With what his mouth has spoken,
Forever, permanent imprints will stay,
Leaving me bruised and so very broken.
Too much pain he's caused,
Many moments I've had to suffer.
Wishing I didn't care so much
And was a lot more tougher.

He's like hot and cold,
Dr.Jeckell and Mr.Hyde,
Tied in knots and twisted about,
Just like a roller coaster ride.
Constantly feeling on edge,
Nothing but turmoil around.
Like I'm walking on egg shells,
And no peace to ever be found.

My hopes and dreams are gone,
There's nothing left of me.
And 'happy-ending" Fairy Tales
Now, is something I do not believe.
I'm fighting a losing battle,
My whole world is closing in,
Knocking me to the ground,
Realizing I will NEVER win.
