Dear Lord Please Cleanse My Mind
Im alone now... the family's
gone to bed...
sinful thoughts have
entered my head
I don't know which
direction to turn...
My mind feels like a fire...
"ready to burn."
"Jesus help me!" is
my cry and prayer...
I know you listen and
you care!.
I don't want to think on thoughts
which trap and allure...
But to memorize God's word--
so holy and pure!
God's word is a light unto my feet...
a lamp unto my path...
By HIS word directing me--
I'll avoid God's wrath!
Thank you Lord for being patient,
loving and kind...
And thanks for giving me more
of a Christ-like mind.
Your loving kindness has
now filled my soul...
And by your word... my mind's
been made whole!
