Dear Crush

Dear Crush,
I got my gallery full of your pictures
My wall is full of my writings 'bout you
When friends ask me who you are, I say you're mine
' cause if I don't they'll ask for your number and I swear it's the last thing I would do,
To lose you
Furthermore, it feels right you being mine

When I tell them of how we met last time
Those hugs and smooches,
The sweet moments that were always eager to end,
They drool over you
They can't stand your figure and the thought of my luck
So they sit down and humble
And ask me to find them someone like you
They say that you must be having friends like you

If only they knew you were just fantasy,
And we have never met but only in dreams
They would laugh at me,
They would call me names for my inauthenticity
And eliminate me from their crew
For they would think am a shame to manhood
But I know what am in for
I know you'll be mine one day
That's why am still hanging on this end of the rope
Waiting for you to cross the finish line
You may be too swift for me
But at times I beat the snails
Doesn't matter as long as I reach the horizon
And rekindle that hope of us
Not just behind my keyboard but in reality.
Make those dreams come true and shame the streets
Make my homies recognize me for the prowess I never had.

So, I was talking to cupid
And he gave me an arrow
Gave me a bow and taught me how to aim at the string
I am trying to hit the mark
But the target is out of sight
Dear crush, come along before I become a sophisticated marksman
'cause I might hit the wrong targets
Be mine.
