It was only a few days
Too few perhaps to simply believe
Alone on my bed as I lay
Those of our days that were lived
Hard to imagine those days were gone
Harder still to imagine you are far and away
Different worlds we simply belong
Yet a similar affection we found, remains to stay
Time is always against us
Yet, further from time... I'm to feel you closer
Do you feel the same way, I ask?
Is our given distance... making us stronger?
What little time we have had
Is a meaning to simply spell a lifetime's worth
To never forget the very day whence we met
We need not words cause simply, it was love
Hard to imagine those of days gone
Harder still to imagine those were days lived
Who knew those of times we belong?
