Love Poem: Days of Summer Love

Days of Summer Love

Do you remember our sun-tanned limbs set free
on heated sand, tumbling bare through steamy air?
Our fanciful flights expressed, replied from tree
tops in dreams. Languishing winds still call me there.

Palm trees heavy with coconuts swayed while we
splashed flirtatiously in shimmering jade sea.
Admiring sunlight surfing effortlessly,
we never thought of Fall's chill in Summer’s glee.

June reminds of a vine-ripe henna sunrise
sweetened in youth’s glow to whimsical wisps of
sun flashing pink pleats in last dance as blue flies
away. Oh, how we shined on blithe breeze in love!

Look faraway to forgotten horizons
on splendid pastel painted canvas of sun’s
light passed by. Think of me in younger days gone
and reminisce of bliss as lives carry on.
