Those three little words you
spoke to me in a whisper as
you turned and walked away
Are the words that will make me
smile when I think back
remembering what it was
Like when I was young
and free
Now that my youth is a
distant memory dancing in my mind
with everyone I'm known
and loved having come
to pass
It's memories such as these
that will keep me going as
days turn to long cold years
I will look back on my life
as I sit on my porch watching
someone else's life just start to begin
