Love Poem: Daydreams

Daydreams

Other fish in the sea
None of them are for me
I'm an average person stuck in the waters
Knee deep, looking for the pirate's treasure trove
Don't mind me, I don't mind
Don't need someone to hold me down

Soon I'm set to fly, off into uncharted territories
No man's land become our man's game
We have to let go sometime

I still love you after all this time
Fears spread through my daydreams
The sand in the hourglass dissipates in desperation
As it screams for time that ceases to exist

I said it was gonna be a new year, new me
Can't even remember what happened yesterday
One thing I will always keep in my mind
Is how hard I fell in the past
Now it is the thing that'll happen last

But this year's different, this is a love story waiting for fate to finally see
That this chapter's gonna be like no other
Open the cover and reveal the contents

I still love you after all this time
Fears spread through my daydreams
The sand in the hourglass dissipates in desperation
As it screams for time that ceases to exist

See, I know I can be a vow breaker
Promised myself to not fall hard for guys
But you're an exception
And here I am!

I still love you after all this time
Fears spread through my daydreams
The sand in the hourglass dissipates in desperation
As it screams for time that ceases to exist
