i stood
searching
for a salient star
beneath
a trenchant sky
in hopes
to find
but one
brightly shining
amidst darkness
to send my wishes
adrift on
this morning
the veil
of twilight
lifted
exposing
a dawn
of ivory
innocence
aglow
with thoughts
dancing
on the breath
of december
it touched
with excitement
like a caress
of feathered
kisses
falling
from lips
of new love
i quivered
in the moment
before
blushing
beneath
somber skies
