Love Poem: Darkest Hour of Night

Darkest Hour of Night

In the darkest hour of night
When all is quiet and silence screams its presence
I lay in my unmade bed, void of silk sheets and frills
No lighted candles or lavender fragrance
As none can satisfy this deepening hunger
I dream you are here with me, body and soul
Not merely in spirit…Not tonight, my love
Your essence, though sweet, will not do this night
For my needs are not subliminal, but real!
Alive, they consume me!
I can not touch you; feel your hands gentle upon my breasts
Our racing hearts beating; your taut muscles rippling
With each move you make
In this darkest hour even sweet dreams can not placate

In the darkest hour of night,
I call out your name in agony; hot tears flood my eyes
And I am mocked by silence uttering nuances
Which further sadden my bleeding heart
Are you dreaming and awake as I am, tonight?
If I could, I would come to you, body and soul
But I am no immortal. Just only a woman
And tonight your essence cannot fill my need
But if this must be, I will dream along with you to night
Dream of the day when I'll see your face...
The moment we'd stare into each other's eyes...
Eyes where once mostly sadness dwelt
It'd light our world with this love that runs so deep
And in this darkest hour, synonymous dreams will suffice.

I will dream dreams of a tomorrow
When we will run, arms out-stretch into a welcome embrace
The day on which we'll stand face to face...
And in that moment, all of time will stand still
For finally we'd be at home for always...
You'd tease me; squeeze me!
Hold me; enfold me
To lay with me, close; right next to me!
Beside me; inside me; beneath me!
Behind me; before me!
You'd search me; devour me!
Beguile me and carry me
Through this darkest hour of night!
