Love Poem: Dark Valentine

Dark Valentine

Picture if you will, perfect lips,
The prettiest smile, the curviest hips.
Imagine too the softest voice,
Two lustful eyes, the daintiest poise.
She lit the hall with every step,
We were the toys she fondly kept.
She just might be the girl you know,
So don’t expect her name to show.
Never had I had such a fix,
So good, yet bad, the perfect mix.
Though stories told of trails she kept,
It was for her my heart had leapt.
And though her eyes betrayed her lies,
My love for her was without guise.
She whispered words I’d never heard
That felt so good I lost my gird.
Sweet words teeming with deception
Untruth, coined from their inception.
She rocked me high, she dropped me low
Her kind of poison has a glow.
I’ve failed to find what is my gain,
But stand addicted to this pain.
My twisted tale is one of gloom
I just might love her to my doom.
Some nights I dream of leaving her,
But then I never make it far.
Someday I just might get the force
To break her charm, cure these sores.
But until then, tonight I’ll dine
With my own, my dark valentine!
