Love Poem: Dancing Under the Moon

Dancing Under the Moon

From the distance like shadows
Swiftly taking steps
So clumsily they be
Going back and forth
Sometimes arms stretched
Sometimes arms be holding
The other shadow spinning
Towards the other in swift motion

Arm on a waist
Arm on a shoulder
Others palm to palm
Fingers interlaced
Eyes lost into each other
Now like dancing
To the beat of the heart
Feet very familiar to the music
Dragged into the rhythm

Watch them close though
Lovers they seem to be
Lost in the hour of time
Perhaps there is no dark hour in their world
Those were the happiest dancers
I have ever seen under the moon
Maybe I be mistaken
But I am sure of this
They looked happier than they may be perhaps
