Dad You Hurt Me

Is it a sin growing young?
Will you prove me wrong for following the trends?
Can’t I roam around and have some fun?
If not today, when will I explore the world?
Dad you say, Son, Go ahead, Do it your way.
Can’t I trust friends and do some mistakes?
Sometimes, I may go wrong, I may get carried away.
Yes, I get dragged and may get tempted.
Whatever happened, didn’t I come and tell you everyday?
Didn’t I listen to and follow whatever you had to say?
Dad what made you feel I will lose my way?
Succumb I will and strong, I will not stay.
Come on Dad, I am grown young.
You only taught me to embrace the change.
Dad I love you, But this time, you got me wrong.
What made you think I will let you down?
Dad, I am your son and you are my dad.
How can you do this, Dad come on.
Dad I love you, Dad I love you.
But I am angry and I am hurt too…

Dad you drink every day, don’t I know?
You hide the pain that you don’t want to show.
I am never bothered about your drinking you also know.
A thought, I will start drinking bothers you I think so.
Being my dad it’s your right.
You are my dad but friend first alright.
Dad you are not the one who can hurt others.
You would rather cry alone and wipe out other’s tears.
Hurting me is gonna hurt you even more.
I have seen you crying closing the door.
You are trying to be rude, I know you don’t really mean.
My happiness apart, nothing else you ever dreamed.
Dad, please come and give me a kiss.
I can’t take it any more I am dying of guilt.
Dragging this further is surely not just.
Dad I will walk two steps. Won’t you walk first?
Dad I love you and I am missing you.
But I am angry and I am hurt too…
