Love Poem: Cupid's Darts

Cupid's Darts

Cupid's Darts

Youthful charms, perfect manners on display,
I met my only son's first girlfriend today.
All of the emotions at young loves doorway
Sparkled in their eyes, an innocent array.

Cupid carefully aimed a downpour of darts.
Sugary dreams fell upon two sweethearts.
Sparkles of love-beams crystallized in quartz
Trusting forever held its grip on young hearts.

I, burdened by fears and memories shipwrecked.
Pray, dear Lord, please let good virtue protect.
Wishing their courtship reciprocal respect.
Two seeking soul mates for marriage select.

Cherished with honor, future lifetime love
Attains eternal marriage in God's courts above.
