Love Poem: Cruelty and Karma

Cruelty and Karma

Like a thief in the night
You came to steal my soul
Then off you went into the depths
Damaging other hearts of gold
Listening for weakness
Then plunging into your game
Really,don't you know
Cruelty does not become you

At times you laugh out loud
Mystified and oh so amused
You throw yourself into it
But someday you will be haunted
Your shadow shall betray you
Days will be long-nights even longer
The end grey and dismal
For cruelty wears badly on you

I will go on head held high
My wreckage soon to be repaired
For this is how it's meant for me
I am not eternally weak
You made me so
Only for a while
Now I will watch you crumble
Cruelty is so ugly on you
