Love Poem: Consequences of Pseudo Love

Consequences of Pseudo Love

"Let time fly
My love for you never leaves my heart
you are my essence
but that it would fly faster," she murmured

"My love thrives with your love near
your lips don’t rest easy on my mind
and neither does the smile on your face
languish on this mind of mine

Like stone barriers keep the tides from rushing in
your green-eyed gaze stops my every breath
my lonely time sprouts a torrent of need
when at days end I welcome the night

To have you hold me,
to save and rescue me from my thoughts
but last night, I waited and waited
and you didn’t come

"You could have called!
My friends should have said something
I cried all night
I felt demeaned and hurt!

Has anyone felt foolish and shame like I feel now?
Somebody should have told me
that you were not a sincere person
but a liar and a scumbag!"
                                     ***
"Easy, sweet one,I am your friend, I tried to tell you, but you wouldn't listen.
Your need for companionship deceived you more than his words.
Lies are never sympathetic, they penetrate the lovelorn harder,
besides, the beckoning lustful waters were churning within you.

That's the price one pays for falling for pseudo love
Hey you, in the back there, the one laughing, don't scoff,
think you're immune to love's vagaries?
Go right ahead and jump on in the water's fine."
