Love Poem: Completely You

Completely You

Rapt in my blackened
Existence epiphanies firing
Bullets at ducks in my mind
It isn’t like the crimes before
I’m still consumed by
A love they can’t
Take my heart sewn
Though the body wills
To immediate gratification
In loveless sex my soul
Naked wrapped in a lovemaking
Dance only knowing the
Pleasures of your love
No one can have the real
Me only the unimportant

Lips locked against
Aren’t yours but I wish
They were the cups
To sip an angel’s nectar
Flowers six months removed
Tell fairytales of just one
Weathered yet perfect
Not one petal stolen
Fragrance motionless
Unscathed by death
Or even life for the water
Bathing my existence has
Overflowed filling
Oceans to cross

Unmoved even when hands
Constantly push my being
Soul still frozen in a
Moment where only you
Breathe life into a beating
Reality this two-headed
Dragon journeys in
Slumber not attacking
Castles in the air
Of this love unwavering
And true completely
You
