A hole left, blasted out by the others, kept from collapsing with artificial tethers. Hidden behind wrap, taut to snap. And with it's final heave, new ones came in to grant reprieve. But instead of tethers and lines, and a mask of forced smiles and sighs, They brought with them affection, to fill the hole and cure it's infections. Now I stand repaired and relieved, with so much progress to achieve. And I thank these godsends, whom I am glad to call friends.
