Love Poem: Comfortable

Comfortable

What if I told you I meant it,
What if I rolled over and played dead,
What if I knew this was the only way that I knew your heart would get fed,
I've always known you were a digger, and that this would do the trick,
It would make you stand up to question things in your heart ignored to fix,
Call me what you will, but my heart could not stand the deception,
The compassion I felt was very real for you, and you know that that goes beyond question,
You toyed with my heart and I forgive you and all the lies you told me,
I knew in my heart this wasn't who you were, and by no means was meant for my glory,
Love can make us do things we normally wouldn't do, touching our hearts in different ways,
Even when it means sacrificing our own comfort in order for them to be saved.
