Love Poem: Come Dance

Come Dance

"Come dance with me", said with a smile
He blushed and rose and all the while
He couldn't help but see the eyes
That promised love without the lies
And seemed incapable of guile

He led her 'round the floor with style
And seemed to dance a magic mile
Then dreamed of a future with ties
"Come dance with me"

Her perfume came from tropic isle
And caused his lazy blood to rile
His brain built him a new disguise
And made him big and strong and wise
He put her then atop the pile -
"Come dance with me"
