Choose Wrong, Suffer Long

We know not today what brings the morrow,
or if our life will be more of the same.
Sometimes our days seem ruled by sorrow,
and we search our hearts, oft assigning blame.
Because we know not, our coming assigned hour,
it behooves everyone to be found doing our best.
Because death is determined by a Higher Power,
let each day of our life, be a God given test.
Our testimony, God given, is to share with others,
just doing good works won’t our future preserve.
As free moral agents, God has given us druthers,
so choose God today, as the one you will serve.
