Love Poem: Chinese Garden

Chinese Garden

Here, among the Geese,
I can be a Philosopher, a Poet, an Artist...
Or just a Dreamer.
And what will my Dreams be of?
Of the gentle ripples in the serene waters...
Of the Hopes that I hold in a Place so secret,
That even I do not know what they are...
But I DO know,
That they will buoy me from wherever they are hidden,
No matter how deeply they are hidden.
They will send forth a sunshine ray into my dark thoughts
And light them up, until
I am happy again,
And suffering is beautiful, and transcendent, and temporary.
Then, all that is Eternal will flow into a single bud
That breaks forth from the waters and bursts,
An explosion of illumination before me!
And that is how you rose my Love,
After you died.
I need no longer fear for you,
Nor be sorry that I could not stop your pain.
For you are One with the rock, the tree, the sky
And you are One with me and I am not alone,
Even if I forget...
For you are in every breath of Me.
