Changing Tides
I live outside the norm,
outside the fringes of society.
So many see me as misguided.
I am just like them.
I eat, sleep, work, and love.
I need a purpose in my life.
Why can't they see
I am cut a little different,
a mold broken?
Love is love.
I live for you
and you for me.
Maybe they are jealous.
They don't have the love we share.
This love has stood many tests.
This one we will pass too.
Hopefully, someday, they will see
this is how it was meant to be.
I hope they will come to understand
this is better for me.
It's what makes me happy.
