Cannot Be Reciprocated

He has touched multiple times but no ripples on my water
this is my conviction, so no one will alter.

Generosity and charity exhibited at this peak
I’m flabbergasted and impressed but won’t speak.

I run fast with my activities, climbing walls like the lizard
he shows up in every crucial moment, who’s this wizard?

I’d have considered if it was years before
but now, no clear road for anyone younger than thirty four.

Despite the hurdles, he stands on his feet to give more
yet, I find reasons to treat him like a terrible in-law.

To make my soul better, his, wants to mix
it’s nothing about the past, there’s nothing to fix.

He’s not giving up, his push, becoming an unprecedented streak
converting me to a supposed sadist and a freak.

I threatened to be bad and liable to cheat
he stands ready to always wash my unclean feet.

The only way he can sweep, conquer and win
is if there’s, of me, a twin.

Go away, newly promoted adult, you have nothing to gain
he sticks around more b’cos he sees beauty in the pain.
