Love Poem: By the Hand

By the Hand

By the hand I will lead you through this land, sit you down beneath a tree
   And watch as your hair is caressed by a summer breeze.
   Then slowly massage your skin the feel of which not silk can beat,
   With feather light touches I place kisses where I know you will like.
    Then deeply will I breath in your scent,
  One so sweet it has no name.

      With a voice that makes the choirs of heaven weep,
    You pull me close to you and say the words I like to hear.
    Then to a place I know you have never been I will lead;
    One full of milk and honey.

      All this and more I will give if you take this chance,
    Let me take your hand and lead us into the promise land.
