Love Poem: Buried Beneath the Lies

Buried Beneath the Lies

Take this love's chalice filled with passion's pain
From crooked hands now clenched in your dark mind
Its wormwood draught, it's less of bile that stain
You spill and wash the earthen floor of time
The rapture of this life cleaves from my soul
As it bleeds on the darker realms of shades
You plunged the knife that cut the rose, once whole
Free my suffering heart, as death persuades
This flower holds no breath forevermore
Now drifting dark as does the setting sun
Flee my world with shadows that I abhor
As my heart dies, for its death is done
A crumbled love found dead, lays in my heart
Buried beneath the lies, as you depart
