Brother To Brotha

BROTHER TO BROTHA 5/05/01

Brother to brotha, do you think life’s fair. Some of us are born of the same blood,
But when we see one another on the streets we act as if neither of us care.

How can we say we’re brothers when we both are filled with some much remorse.
I’ve notice this for a long time, since are parents had divorced.

You strayed away, but I’ve always known us to be the best of friends until one day I
looked around for you, and the hands that were tied, that were bound for life
Were tied at two different ends.

Momma has always been the strength that held the family together, and she hears our
sovereign cries. She taught us the meaning of brotherly love
And told us never to break the bloodline ties.

But you ran across a new type of brotha, that you choose to cleave onto,
With a different kinda love
And an attitude brand spanking new.
My brother that’s okay, someday I know in my heart of hearts that your gonna find your way
back to the brother you’ve know for life.
You and I will come together once more, prayerfully without strife.

We’ll be close brothers once more, we’ll be accepting each other with open arms,
And everything will measure up just right.
