Broken Vase

Broken Vase The flea market Vibrant and full of trinkets Meandering and browsing Dreaming and wandering Wishing I was with my man There it was all alone in a stall A vase with love imprinted on the side So pretty, I could not resist So content with my purchase Off I went with my sunshine smile I set the vase on my dining table Beside the unopened mail As I reached for a letter The vase tumbled and shattered All over the floor Love was broken, existing no more I opened the letter With no return address Dear Aurore, I am so sorry I have found someone else I left the key under the mat The letter fell to the floor And that was that Shattered glass and love exists no more
