Love Poem: Broken Hearted

Broken Hearted

My heart broken, fragmented and shattered, you left me suddenly for the unknown; now, my love and path - just pages scattered, your soul to another far realm has flown ! Lost, to wander a cruel world forlorn, my anchor, safe harbor and true north gone; forever, and ever, ever to mourn, to recall and weep and weep each new dawn ! Why the Lord took you that day deep shrouded, we never know the reason for a death; and now my thoughts are tattered and clouded, held you to my heart to hear your last breath ! Never to be forgotten my true love, and can you watch over me from above ! _________________ June 4, 2021 Poetry/Sonnet/Broken Hearted Copyright Protected, ID 06-136-148-04 All Rights Reserved, 2021, Constance La France (The missing letter in my Lipogram poem is "i") Written for the Premier contest, Lipogram sponsor, Emile Pinet, Judged 06/30/2021 Second Place
