Love Poem: Broken Glass

Broken Glass

You poured a glass of your sweet love
I knocked it to the ground
A heart shaped vessel in many pieces
Now you're nowhere to be found

All that can be seen is a lonely stain
When I realize it makes me sick
I clutch my chest fall to all fours
Then I give the ground a lick

The taste has been soured
It was my mistake to let love pass
Still I choose to lick the ground
Feeling the pain from the glass

Blood drips from my mouth
It tingles with the pain
I've learned loves lesson
I will never waste it again

What I would like to Forget Contest
