Love Poem: Bring Me Home

Bring Me Home

What I'd like to give you, is an ounce of my cologne
so your searching eyes may welcome my soul's intent
which holds a solemn promise
to cross the bonding bridge in silence
with head bowed in honor of your beauty
that lights my darkest realm, so all things are possible

Though my first steps are timid and unsure
they grow stronger from the touch of your hand
that leaves a shimmer, which chills my skin

Fingers wrap in the purpose of promise
as my yearning welcomes your arrival
where love lets fall all sense and reason
allowing them to fly freely
on passionate dreams of entwined hearts
to merge in a sacred ritual
of warm tender kisses held precious
where seconds are timeless
and love washes forever on the shores of our hearts
