Love Poem: Bones

Bones

Who could've known just how much we've grown
Til you held up my hand and saw nothing but bones
I'm not used to feeling so naked, exposed
Feeble from my head to my toes

The war-paint upon my illegible face
Erased by your touch, left not a trace
Delicate fingers could be woven from lace
Force fire from this passionate place

Eyes speaking words no poet could rhyme
This moment cant even be captured by time
I tremble as your hips make contact with mine
The potency, almost a crime

I exhale,then I'm back to where I belong
Dancing so closely we blur into one
I'll live in your arms til we hear the birdsong
It's like nothing can ever be wrong.

To sleep seems a waste of this night
But its getting so harder to fight
As you reach out and hold me more tight
Your bones next to mine tonight.
