how I long to touch you
discover and rediscover every inch of you
glide my fingers gently and deliberately
caress all mounds and valleys
study every wondrous curve
uncover your sweet topography
how I dream to hear your heartbeat
and feel its rhythm against mine
hear the choirs of eternity
break into bluesy rhapsody
how I yearn to close my eyes
unravel all the bonds of time
how I dream to hear your whispers
stir the silence of my universe
let me lie here next to you
contemplate the ebb and flow of life
holding dear time that is precious
in all its ephemeral grace
