Black Stripes of Heartbreak

Please, remember me and think about me
Even in your days with another me
For we know our love was not meant to be
At least I know, you do not have to agree
I remember you, sitting under the tree
Which bore apples as children, could be we
Too, that would have had the same fate as she
Tangled up in each other’s roots, you see
But not being amorous, by the sea
With rolling tides, squashed by lover feet, plea
To end all the suffering, be set free
From invisible chains, holding me three
One on heart so change you never will see
One on mind, to keep logic from its flee
And one on legs, to keep legs from their flee
Go on, you took your fabled golden key
And unlocked me, oh, why’d you unlock me
So my feelings spill faster than a bee
Please, remember me and think about me
Even in your days with another me
