Love Poem: Black Roses

Black Roses

She covers me up when my body is cold. It's the little things that she does and
the stories she told. Never again will I see her sweet face, the cold hands of
death have taken her place.
She used to say my love was the only thing that she needed, and when she
would leave me my heart bleeded. And don't tell me my love is gone I knew you
weren't my god all along.
Black roses, black roses take me away.
The sun would shine down on her beautiful face, and it would remind me of our
special place, were brilliance and beauty resides. The glow from her eyes gave
me warmth down inside. I have all my pictures of holding her tight, they enter my
dreams while I am all alone at night.
Why does love take love away?
What happened to god anyway?
Black roses, black roses take me today!
The rain turned colder as I grew older, the love I once had has long since
passed. The skies of blue have now turned gray. The clouds I watched as a
young boy have ran away. Gods gift to me I never found, he left me lying on the
ground.
When you are done with this your life will be forgot, when you have read this you
will be distraught.
