Beyond What's Real
I knew the first moment we met,
the only one for me was you.
And when you whispered you loved me,
all my dreams suddenly came true.
Both whimsical and magical,
love flips frowns into happy smiles.
And conjures scenes of paradise,
past tribulations, and trials.
Trust ignites embers of passion,
fueling flames we alone feel.
And inviting hope to take wing,
love takes souls beyond what's real.
Separate and yet connected,
you join my inner child at play.
And such innocence touches me;
in a most fundamental way.
