Beyond the Wall - free verse
through deathly fog of silence
i hear your stifled call
remote out in the distance
over and above life’s wall
i hear the whisper of your plea
muted flushed and o so faint
beyond all rainbow’s paint
~ for you i set course for the sea
i hear the unfolding rolling echo
the echo of a love that couldn’t die
i won’t believe that stars can tell a lie
so i’ll continue searching high and low
for you i’ll roam the earth below
forever reach to touch the stars that glow
