Love Poem: Betrayed

Betrayed

I wanted you to know
That you did not steal the show
Unable to harness the harmony
You did not screw this up for me
In fact, it's such a huge favor
Not wasting the fruits of my labor
Knowing you were out to deceive thee
I don't know why you don't believe me
When I told you how I feel about people who lie

When it comes to seeing eye to eye
No way any of it will fly
I would advise you to step aside
Instead of trying to fix this on the backslide
That will just cause us to collide
Taking our love to a bad kinda high
Don't want to have to choose sides
Or risk that either one of us would ever lie

Looks like none of our plans are going to apply
Sometimes you have to accept the reasons why
That there is not much left to erect or intercept
Cause it looks like you swept much of it away
When you chose to be that way
Hoping all your lies
Didn't get hung up on the inside
Thinking you can justify
What I feel is nothing but a slap in the eye

Over you telling your dirty lies
Deceiving while hiding in discquise
Once you cross this line
There is no way to realign
What was once so divine all by design
Why would you choose this to be
Now I must set you free
You are not the one meant for me

You had your chance
At the most romantic dance
But now you get to stay home
And wish about it from a glance
And when you come out of your trance
This will be a broken romance
That has no last chance
