Beautiful Sadness
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”**
There is a beauty in the humid sadness
fulfillment shimmering in a warm breeze
smiling as it glances over its shoulder
a tear trailing through a joyous dust
nurturing the memory of a distant love.
There is a sadness in forever’s beauty
altered by the winds of whimsy’s wont
slowly etching upon the face of lovers
a topography of life’s connected trails
fading in the beauty of the humid sadness.
