Love Poem: Be Honest

Be Honest

Lady use those words not in jest,
for they cut and run so deep, best
it left to silence less the pain to
reap. Don't taunt me with the old
promises of tomorrow, this heart
lives for today and has no pace
with sorrow. Remember, regrets
are for those that don't commit,
that dark place where doubt and
the Devil sit. No false accolades
required , only truth and love to
be desired. If it is not to be fully
returned, just leave me rest with
fingers burned. I would not hate
but love you more, the honest
heart I would adore.
