Love Poem: Battle Cries

Battle Cries

I raise the white flag, bruised to the core
To wounded to justify myself anymore
Another surrender you've crushed in your hand
Another fight lost, still, you won't understand
Tenure my lungs until they're smithereens
You think that without you, I've no right to breathe
A blood flush with love coloures me red
Proof we exist beyond my severed head
Your eyes, now so cold, full of anger and fear
It seems you have spoiled them with furious tears

There once was a time we would fight this together
Now we stand alone, stand apart
Forever?
A battle of souls, your incredible beauty
is lost, replaced with a malicious cruelty
You think I'm alright, seems I got good at lying
I'll never admit that I fall asleep crying
You don't have to win, this isn't a race
REMEMBER
We used to breathe at a united pace
Now as we face eachother and all that went wrong

Who's going to fight for me, now that you're gone?
