Love Poem: Bathroom Floor

Bathroom Floor

Brother, friend, you called me tonight
your voice sounding like
this, soft and low
and this I know:
you miss me.

Told you I feel
caught in the middle of a wheel
where doctors sell my youth
or threaten to
and medicine curing others health
just tears mine apart.
I feel cornered
you promised I'm normal.

Since your move
you're chilling in the groove.
I'm so so proud of you,
so I won't tell you,
I cried on the bathroom floor for you.

So happy you're fitting in,
I can't listen to "Summer Skin"
without watery eyes,
missing you making it alright
but then I just smile.
Cuz your eyes shine while
you proudly make a successful pun.
You are so much fun.

Brother, dear I love you so
no matter how far away you go.
So I won't tell you,
I cried on the bathroom floor for you
