Ballade of Soulmates

Upon a bridge over tranquil water

A lady like an angel knelt to pray

Escaping from the illness that bound her,

As she remembered her true love far away,

Then a wild orchestra began to play

musical notes of two lovers crying.

and a vee-shaped cloud formed over the bay

One night in moonlight when geese came flying

A flock of mourners circled around her,

Joining the maiden with shrieks of dismay

And with wide eyes she watched them gather,

A thousand flapping wings of pearl and gray,

United in mothers nature's ballet,

Filling the Heaven's with sounds of sighing,

And sweet essence of a lilac bouquet

One night in moonlight when geese came flying

By a lake of blue, her soul mate found her

Weeping in tall grasses where goslins stay

Beneath a glistening ball of silver,

He stood, holding a scented floral array

Watching her hair in the midnight breeze sway

And at his feet an ol' goose was lying

The one who'd let his weary feet this way

One night in moonlight when geese came flying

Now they share precious memories each day,

And in his loving arms there's no denying,

That fate had not led her true love astray

One night in moonlight when geese came flying
