Babylon's Price

I'm just a whore
maybe less, but nothing more
I did my job but dared to seek more
i learned my lesson, after all I'm just a whore

Why should i have love
it has nothing to do with me
i gave up the joy of love
when i chose to become what i had to be

The ancient city is crumbling
falling down
the priests are mumbling
and i feel their collective frown

I fought, i bled, i died
but no one cared, was i so easy to ignore
after paying this price i cried
after all this i am still just a whore
