Awaiting My October Love

October has come, where have you been?
It's time for both hello and goodbye.
Hot days end as we await Halloween.
We'll sing and dance in costumes, so don't be shy.

It's time for both hello and goodbye.
Cool breezes sweep away fallen leaves.
We'll sing and dance in costumes, so don't be shy.
New love will grow, 'cause it's in our beliefs.

Cool breezes sweep away fallen leaves.
A million Jack-o'-lanterns light up the night.
New love will grow, 'cause it's in our beliefs.
Don't let my disguise give you a fright.

A million Jack-o'-lanterns light up the night.
I parade the streets as a butterfly fairy.
Don't let my disguise give you a fright.
I'm too benign for you to be wary.

I parade the streets as a butterfly fairy.
October has come, where have you been?
I'm too benign for you to be wary.
Hot days end as we await Halloween.
